Primary Eye Care: School Vision Screening Schools perform screenings to help locate potential visual problems. This testing will be performed a couple times during the year. The testing involves viewing an illuminated eye chart at 15 to 20 feet, depending on the equipment. Children are put through the testing and a report is sent home if a problem is noted. Dr. Anderson and his staff provide FREE vision screenings in their office at Village Optical for any child up to 12 years of age. School screenings are also made available to the local school districts. Dr. Anderson and his staff use the auto-refractor for accurate and fast results. They are able to diagnosis a potential visual problem within 3 seconds. ![]() If you are interested in a free screening for your child or your child’s school, please contact our office at 970-223-0592. |
